Para sa Kalikasan; Para sa Kinabukasan

A small trash can have a big impact to the environment. Even the littlest wrappers of candy, tiny packets of biscuits, and many more can already contribute in damaging the environment. And just like how important a small trash is, our small actions to the environment, for the environment is also important. Even simply bringing home  your trashes or putting it in your pocket when there's no garbage cans in the surrounding can have a lasting—big impact to our environment.  As students, it is just right for us to learn the different ways of taking care of our environment. We are the 'future',  and the future depends on us.  We have the power to change what our world is today. We have the power, we hold the power towards an eco-friendly, safe, and sustainable environment.  What we do in the present, will surely  have a lasting impact on the future.  Think before you throw.

From the Present's Future: A Letter to the President

Image
August 25, 2025 Office of the President MalacaƱang Palace JP Laurel Street, San Miguel, Manila Mr. President:  I am writing this letter to you to inform you about the well-being of the "Pag-asa ng Bayan", the students.  I am writing this letter to reach out to you on the education system of our country. I believe, you are doing your best to improve it. I highly appreciate your effort. But, what remains the real problem of the education sector is the well-being of the students.  Students these days are prone to mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc.. which affects their academic performance. I am fully aware of the steps you are doing regarding this issue. But, Mr. President it's not enough. Bigger actions are needed for these kind of problems. Especially now that it has been affecting millions of Filipino students.  I am hoping that certain actions will be done and laws regarding students' well-being may be implemented. Hence, we hope for a bigger a...

Nutri-experience: In a winner's perspective

Image
The main highlight of my July definitely the Nutrition Month Celebration. specifically the Nutrijingle competition that I was a part of.     This photo was taken during the recording of our song. Although I was not a part of the singers, it was still a core memory for me to step inside a recording station. This is where our journey starts.      This photo marked the beginning of our journey—a journey that no one ever thought we would be taking.      The place was kind of creepy (lol) but it was still breathtaking and amazing. It was a horror movie coded place, where you can perfectly film a horror movie. But this place is also a home to people who helped us in our first step towards our award-winning (wow) NutriJingle.      Meanwhile, this photo was taken during our filming in Bicentennial. This was actually my most favorite photo among all the photos we had in this event.      This photo sh...

My name is Kate Bernice and I was born in 2009 ~ (Taylor Swift 1989 reference)           As I have mentioned, I am Kate Bernice R. Macaranas, I was born on August 28, 2009, at Gabriela Silang General Hospital, to my parents Bernard and Anecia Macaranas.          Her Persona; my chosen title for my About Me blog is not just a randomly chosen word, but a very meaningful one. Her Persona, was actually extracted from my favorite KPOP group's albums: Love Yourself; Her and MAP OF THE SOUL: Persona. Therefore, this blog is about her; me, and the map of my soul—my persona.        You already had a little bit glimpse of me, from my introduction, my name, my birthday, my parents, and the school where I am currently enrolled, and probably you also had an idea from my intro on the artists that I stan. But now, let me introduce you to my persona.      I studied pre-elementary and elementary in ...
